Exercpts of Brain Salad Surgery:"The album was originally supposed to be called Whip Some Skull On Yer", says Emerson, referring to an inside joke the band would use when referring to oral sex, but in the end we called it Brain Salad Surgery (The title actually came from a line in the Dr. Jhon�s 1973 hit single, "Right Place Wrong Time").
Excerpts of Karn Evil 9:"The actual title was probably Pete Sinfiel�s idea: I had this idea about a planet I wanted to call `Ganton 9�. And Pete said you can�t call it that, �cause there�s a Ganton street in Soho, just down the road!Pete listened to the music I�d written and said it sounds like carnival - it�s all happy! So we went carnival, hmm, Karn Evil. Bang! That�s it end of story! (KE)"

Pamela Morrison used to tell a story from the very earliest days of The Doors. They were playing their first club, The London Fog. It was their last set of the night and there were only three people in the club, two drunks and Pamela. The band was incandescent. Jim raged and exploded with superhuman passion - a trascendent performance. Pam was stunned. In the car she could say nothing...long after arriving home she was still speechless. Jim asked, "What�s wrong baby?" Pam said, "There were three people in the club during the last set. But you burned out like you were performing for thousands of people. Why did you go so far, risk so much fot a tiny audience that�s was barely aware of your presence?" Jim looked at her and said slowly, "You never know when you�re doing your last set"
Considering to the force of energy generated by The Doors over 25 years ago, that "last set" could well be several generations away.(Paul A. Rothchild)

The "Wall Tour" begins the 7th Febraury 1980 in Los Angeles: during the show fireworks set fire to overhead drapes and the show had to be stopped: The completed wall, formed by 420 bricks is now 10 meters high and 50 meters wide on the same are screened anumated images created by Gerald Scarf.
In the song Empty Spaces, there is a hidden speech, recorded upside down, you can rec that song on your pc, if you got the CD, an invert it.
